No lender, so no interest.
There is no application, no funding conditions, and no interest added to the number you agreed to. What you prepay is what the plan costs.
You prepay your next 20 years of energy at a locked price with no escalator. Our financing partner passes through up to 30% of tax-credit value you can no longer claim yourself. The system transfers to you in year 6 at no additional cost — and your named Project Manager still answers in 30 minutes or less, years after you're switched on.

Financing the prepaid amount is a normal, sensible choice and plenty of homeowners make it. Paying outright changes three specific things — and leaves everything else about the plan identical.
There is no application, no funding conditions, and no interest added to the number you agreed to. What you prepay is what the plan costs.
The share of tax-credit value our financing partner passes through to you is set by your equipment and your location. It is the same whether you prepay outright or finance the prepaid amount.
Prepaid means the price of your energy is locked for the term. There is no escalator clause and nothing re-prices later in the agreement.
Same plan, same protections, same year-6 transfer. The only thing that changes is how the prepaid amount gets funded.

We don't publish lender rates. The rate sheets we're given are for contractor use, and the rate you would actually be offered depends on your credit and the plan you qualify for — so quoting a headline number here would tell you nothing useful about your own. You get your real terms in writing, from the lender, before you commit to anything.

No. A lease rents you equipment for a monthly payment that usually rises every year. Prepaid Solar is prepaid energy: you pay once, at a locked price, with no escalator, and the system transfers to you in year 6 at no additional cost.
Your next 20 years of energy from the system on your roof, prepaid in advance. The amount is set by your system design and by the share of tax-credit value your equipment and location qualify for.
Up to 30%, and it depends on two things: your equipment and your location. 17% is standard, 25% when one of the two factors applies, and 30% only when both do. Most homeowners land nearer 25% than 30%. You are told which tier your project qualifies for before you sign, not after.
Yes. Financing is available through our financing partner's lender network, with terms up to 20 years and no prepayment penalty. Rates depend on your credit and the plan you qualify for, and are quoted to you after an application — never guessed at on a first call.
Our financing partner owns it for the first six years. That ownership is what makes the tax-credit value capture possible in the first place, which is why the structure exists. It transfers to you in year 6 at no additional cost.
We control the design, the permit, the installation and the inspection, and we schedule and report every one of them. We do not control the utility's Permission-to-Operate date, so we will not promise you one. A company that promises that date is promising a clock it doesn't own.
The prepaid structure is provided by HDM Renewable Finance. The production guarantee, monitoring, insurance and price caps that come with the prepaid term are theirs, not ours. What is ours is the installation, your named Project Manager, and the written guarantee on our own field work.
See typical prepaid prices by system size in Southern California — computed from the same numbers the estimator above uses — on our solar cost breakdown. Your own price still comes from the estimator above or a roof review, not from a typical range.
Ownership, monthly payment, the price escalator and what happens if you sell all differ by option — see the full row-by-row comparison on our prepaid vs. lease vs. loan page.
A design and savings plan for your roof and your actual bills, including which path captures the most value in your situation — outright or financed. No commission pressure and no obligation. Your Project Manager responds in under 30 minutes.
